Dr. Bodman is the President of Schubert Associates, Inc. (“SAI”), a private investment services firm headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. SAI was started in 1981 and invests in early-to-mid-stage companies across a range of industries, especially those which change the way services and products are delivered and supported by capitalizing on information technology, and which integrate real-time communication, cross-specialty collaboration and learning both in the classroom and over the Web. Dr. Bodman was previously a professor in Marketing at the Harvard Graduate School for Business Administration, and has additionally served on the faculties of the University of Chicago and Texas A&M University. She lectures internationally and has authored numerous studies on the information, consumer goods and retail services industries, as well as not-for-profits ranging from health care services and clinical research institutions to museums and performing arts organizations to private colleges and public research university systems.
Dr. Bodman holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, an M.A. and Ph.D. from The University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. She is a Fellow of the Ford Foundation and the Woodrow Wilson Foundation. She has served as a director or advisory board member of both public and private companies. She has served or currently serves on the boards of several non-profit and academic institutions, including The Jackson Laboratory, Schepens Retina Associates Foundation, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Bostonian Society, Texas A&M University and the University of Wisconsin.
