Ms. Richmond is the principal of her Boston-based law firm, Richmond & Associates. Her practice concentrates on strategic consulting and legal services in the areas of insurance coverage, complex civil litigation, intellectual property and employment law. Prior to establishing her firm in 2002, Ms. Richmond was founding partner of Richmond, Pauly & Ault LLP, in Boston.
Ms. Richmond is active in a number of legal and civic organizations. She chairs the Standing Committee on Audit of the American Bar Association ($300M Annual Budget) and is also on the Board of Editors of the American Bar Journal. She is director of the Massachusetts chapter of The Nature Conservancy, a director of the Handel & Haydn Society, and Deputy Chair of the Magna Carta 800th Committee. Additionally, she has served on the Board of Directors for the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund; past Treasurer and Trustee of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education; Secretary of Boston 2000; and director of the Children’s Law Project. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and is a graduate of both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
